A Revolutionary Love

Real Relationships

This week, we want to talk about perhaps the most ‘bout it of them all: Samuel L. and LaTanya Jackson. Married since 1980, the pair first met while they attended Morehouse and Spelman in the 70s. From the very start, the couple decided that their love would be a revolutionary act. They took—and take—that decision seriously. How serious? Also, their mantra for raising their daughter was, “The most revolutionary thing was to keep a Black family together.” And that, they did.
